135 S.O.S. phone booth called Louise.  In case of mechanical problems or anything else.  All the S.O.S. phone booths can be a very big help.  Quebec provincial police assure the security of the road.

257 Rupert River and Rapids - Fishing, boat launching, picnic tables, toilets.  Lookout site and bridge.  Marvelous and a recommended stop.
274 Route du Nord Junction - This gravel road is 424 km long.  It runs to Chibougamau via the Cree village of Nemaska (117 km)   Hydro-Quebec transformation center is at 118.  There was a big forest fire in 1983.

395 Eastmain River - Fishing, picnic area, toilets.   Lookout site on the bridge.  Because of the diversion of the water course of the Eastmain and Opinaca rivers, the water level is low. It is the most beautiful of all the bridges on the James Bay Road.
411 Opinaca River - BridgeS.O.S. phone service called Aline.  Forest fire in 1989 caused by lightning.
440 Lakes Chain - Fishing, boat launching, picnic tables, toilets.
464 Vieux Comptoir - Fishing, picnic tables, toilets, lookout site.  One of the world's biggest culvers, 80 metres x 16 meters wide.  Big forest fire in 1989, lying to Yasinski Lake.
503 Miron Lake - Fishing, boat launching, picnic tables, toilets

518 Wemindji Road Junction - Cree village at 96 km Wemindji means in Cree painted mountains, according the colour of the rocks in the area>>
542 Yasinski Lake - Fishing, picnic tables, toiletsl   Lookout site. One of the most important walleye spawning places in Canada.
544 Trans-Taiga Road Junction - Gravel road 688 km long.  LG-3 (128 km), LG-4 (300 km). Laforge (430 km), Laforge-2 (516 km), Brisay (593km) and Caniapiscau (656 km) Available services on the Trans-Taiga Road.

600 LG-1 (62 km) and Chisasibi (90 km) Road Junction.   This is a paved road to Chisasibi.  Then there is a gravel road (10 km) to the shores of James Bay. <<Chisasibi in Cree means Great River>>
